We are seeking a skilled individual to fulfill the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities :
- Assist the Editor-in-Chief in curating stories and concepts for the webtoon. This involves reviewing submissions, identifying and training promising writers and concepts, and selecting stories that align with Kisai’s target audience and goals, and also includes creating and developing new story concepts that align with Kisai’s story goals;
- Editing the story concept and also the script to ensure the highest quality of storytelling;
- Proofreading scripts and webtoons for grammar, spelling, and consistency
- Ensure that webtoon content is of high quality and complies with platform guidelines and Kisai standards;
- Monitor user feedback and engagement with webtoons, collect data, and suggest improvements or changes to increase user satisfaction;
- Stay up-to-date with trends in the webcomics industry and analyze competition;
- Identify emerging genre opportunities or trends and potential challenges in the webtoon market;
- Manage a team of story editors, create a timeline to delegate story editor tasks, provide guidance, and ensure smooth workflow within the story division;
- Maintain the quality and consistency of stories from the scriptwriting stage to the completion stage, ensuring all dialog and flow remain constant throughout the production stage;
- Explore new storytelling methods, new genres, new up-and-coming story genres to ensure the webtoon is in line with the trends.
Requirements :
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a writer or story editor, specifically in the romance genre.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in romance storytelling.
- Knowledgeable in writing romance and action stories.
- Prior experience in editing webtoon scripts/novels is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- High attention to detail, strong sense of creativity, and deep understanding of storytelling techniques.
- A passionate webtoon reader with a keen sense of engaging dialogue.
- Strong ability to communicate both internally (team, company) and externally (clients).
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- Must be willing to work full-time at Kisai Office, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Indonesia.
