This role involves teaching and creating learning materials about webtoons and related skills like figure drawing, concept art, and other areas that support webtoon production. You will work closely with the Head of Academy to prepare and deliver classes that support and engage students, while also actively teaching and guiding them throughout their learning journey.
Responsibilities :
- Teach classes at the Academy, delivering lessons on various aspects of webtoon production.
- Develop and enhance teaching materials and class content to improve both the curriculum and students’ understanding.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Academy to design the curriculum, prepare the teaching syllabus, and assign appropriate subjects to each educator.
- Mentor and train junior educators in KY Academy’s teaching methodology and relevant class materials.
- Communicate with partners to continuously enhance the Academy’s ability to provide the best learning experience for students.
- Actively engage with students, guide them through their learning journey, and incorporate their feedback to refine the classes.
- Be part of the inaugural team of KY Academy educators, shaping the future of webtoon education!
Requirements :
- Experience: At least 1 year of teaching experience (not necessarily in art). Experience in art education is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in drawing, illustration, and comic creation aligned with Kisai Entertainment’s art direction. A webtoon portfolio is mandatory.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the webtoon production pipeline and workflow is essential.
- Language: Proficiency in both written and spoken English. (This is to understand the teaching materials and discussion with partners. The educator will teach the class mostly in Indonesian.)
Specific Requirement:
- Availability to attend a training period in Seoul, South Korea, for approximately 10 days (3–13 February 2025, subject to change). Accommodation and allowances will be provided by KY Academy.
- Commitment to studying training materials (provided as written documents and videos) prior to the training period.
- Willingness to sign a 3-year employment contract before completing training, with terms and conditions discussed during the interview.
