Jakarta, Kisaient.com – Kisai Entertainment took a significant step in fostering growth within the webtoon industry by signing a collaboration agreement with Bonob Beneb Studio and Goxtoon Studio. This partnership marks the launch of Kisai’s new Studio Incubation Program, aimed at investing in and nurturing small studios with high potential to thrive in the competitive world of webtoons.
About the Studio Incubation Program
The Studio Incubation Program is designed to identify promising studios and support them through financial investment, training, and mentorship. Kisai Entertainment provides these studios with the necessary funding and industry expertise to help them build sustainable businesses and achieve independent success. As part of this initiative, Kisai has invested IDR 350 million in both Bonob Beneb Studio and Goxtoon Studio. The investment is intended to support studio expansion, enhance production quality, and explore new creative opportunities, while allowing the studios the freedom to allocate funds as needed.
Bonob Beneb & Goxtoon Studio
Bonob Beneb Studio, the first partner of Studio Incubation Program (start August 19, 2024), is a Bandung-based studio founded by husband-and-wife duo Gagas and Arabella, was established in 2019. The studio has demonstrated strong potential in storytelling and production quality, we can see it because they have previously worked with Kisai before.
Meanwhile, Goxtoon Studio, founded in 2021 in Malang by Hiro (pen name: Mas Hiro), specializes in manga and webtoon production, with a strong focus on action and comedy genres. After getting to know Mas Hiro and the studio’s vision, Kisai discovered a shared dream—to elevate Indonesian webtoons to the international stage. This alignment in vision became the foundation for a new partnership, which was officially formalized on February 26, 2025.
