Yogyakarta, Kisaient.com – On January 27, 2024, Kisai Academy’s W-TOON CAMP made history as the first-ever mini webtoon bootcamp in Indonesia, designed to help creators gain deep knowledge and skills for the world of webtoons. The first offline event happened in Yogyakarta, with plans to expand to other cities throughout 2024.

The Yogyakarta event took place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Cronica Creative Workspace, and tickets sold out within just 2 days!

The day was packed with excitement, attracting around 40 eager participants ready to dive into the world of webtoons. The event flowed smoothly, featuring insightful sessions led by Kisai’s Art Directors, Rucita and Caca. Participants enthusiastically engaged in Q&A sessions, and during the bootcamp review, some even volunteered for live feedback in front of the class.

In addition to the immersive learning experience, the camp introduced key elements, including an introduction to webtoons, utilizing CSP as the main application, and uncovering the essential keys to smooth navigation through your webtoon journey.

Moreover, a special quest added an exciting twist to the day, incorporating an exercise session. This included practicing expressions and gestures, as well as creating art from the provided storyboard, enhancing the overall creative journey for each participant.

There was also a Career Development Discussion by Zaky Anvari, General Manager of Kisai, provided participants with valuable insights. The discussion, fueled by participants’ curiosity about the dos and don’ts of the professional webtoon world, aimed to equip them with the knowledge needed to navigate challenges confidently. The high demand for this career-focused discussion reflected not only personal aspirations but also growing interest from companies, emphasizing the importance of webtoon enthusiasts understanding the industry’s demands and remaining passionate and courageous in their pursuits.

Meeting fellow creators from Indonesia fueled Kisai’s enthusiasm to continue W-TOON CAMP in other cities. The goal is to encourage creators all over Indonesia to grow together with Kisai and explore the professional world of webtoons even more.

The success of the first W-TOON CAMP in Yogyakarta sets the stage for more collaborative and enriching events, providing a platform for webtoon enthusiasts to thrive with Kisai Academy.
