In a secret underground lab, genetic experiments were conducted to create the perfect evolution of humankind. Out of thousands of experimental subjects, only children had a high chance of assimilating foreign DNA transplants and inheriting at least one or two supernatural power traits out of thousands. One remarkable subject who achieved the highest success in this experimental project was the subject with the code X1-4N, a 12-year-old girl and the only subject to reach Rank-A, inheriting one of the lab’s most powerful supernatural traits in history: a hybrid power combining fire and electricity, known as pyro-electro.
Subject X1-4N was born and raised in the lab without ever knowing the outside world, living like a machine, emotionless, and solely obedient to the system as a survival response trained since birth. However, everything began to change when she met Bee, a Rank-E subject with the code Z80-6b. Bee’s optimism, unlike anything she had encountered in any other subject, was something she couldn’t comprehend, but Bee’s presence slowly planted something unfamiliar within her: hope.
This one-shot focuses on X1-4N’s struggle to protect her best friend from a deadly experiment by making a deal with the lab. However, that promise is betrayed, and Bee is chosen as the next subject for a brain DNA transplant experiment. Facing this betrayal, Xian decides to rebel against the lab to protect Bee at all costs because she refuses to let anyone take Bee away from her as long as she lives!
Without knowing what lies in the world above, Xian and Bee embark on an escape mission. Will this escape turn out to be a carefully laid trap, or will they succeed in gaining their freedom together?
