Frequently Asked Questions
Is this position open only for Indonesians, or can foreigners apply too?
Most of our openings are for Indonesian applicants, as our projects are managed locally. However, for certain roles like Sketch Artist and Colorist, we also welcome applicants from Southeast Asia who can work in the GMT+7 time zone.
Can I apply as a freelancer if I’m still in school, college, or currently working somewhere else?
For main production roles, we don’t recommend taking multiple time consuming activities (such as studies/full time job) due to our tight schedules. However, assistant roles may allow flexibility if you can manage your time well.
Will I be contacted if I’m not selected?
Due to the high number of applicants, we only contact you if you pass the document screening process within 14 working days since you submitted your application.
What kind of portfolio should I submit to Kisai?

Highlight your recent works/pieces that best represent your style and strengths. If you’ve worked on a webtoon before, even better! It helps us see your storytelling and production flow.
Can I apply for more than one role at once?
You’re welcome to apply for multiple roles as long as they match your skills and interests. Our team will review your profile and determine the best fit. However, since some roles require skill tests, we’ll usually ask you to choose one position to focus on so you’re not overwhelmed by multiple tests at once.
Can I re-apply for the same role if I didn’t get accepted before?
Of course! Growth takes time and we love seeing people come back stronger. Just take the time to improve your skills, build more experience, and we’ll be excited to see your progress next time. Don't forget to update your portfolio!
